Billings Forge community, Hartford, CT

In 2007, I was asked to design a branding package for the Billings Forge collective of businesses. The goal was to offer their low-income residents a host of career opportunities on site while providing family stability and the love of food using sustainable resources to nourish a community.

I photographed menu items and provided UI design for their initial custom website as well as signage for Firebox, the restaurant. While the Kitchen and Billings Forge apartments logos were drafts that provided inspiration for later iterations, the Firebox and Center logos were used for several years. I created an identity system for both Firebox and the Center.
