Originally from North Carolina, I live in Rhode Island where lobster rolls are the new barbecue sandwich. I’m a graphic designer and photographer offering creative solutions for clients in health care, education, publishing, recreation, and legal services as well as individual artists and entrepreneurs. I received a degree in graphic design from North Carolina State University School of Design in 1989 with an emphasis on photography.

I began my career in graphic design as a freelancer for a PBS TV/FM affiliate in Washington DC where my foundation in computer graphics began. The next year, I joined a team providing print collateral and multimedia support for a large international consulting and accounting firm servicing the Midatlantic region. Several years later, I moved to San Diego to enjoy the California lifestyle. However, I spent most of that time designing websites for film, fitness, and lifestyle at an internet marketing firm—a rewarding experience working with clients in the filmmaking industry. Printwise, I also worked with publishers in the book trade. Photography work included product, portrait, and editorial assignments. In 2000, I published a photodocumentary on pet-assisted therapy.

But after a time, the east coast would pull at me, and I moved to Southern New England and continued working for Southern California clients, but embarked on new opportunities with local and out-of-state clients, returning to my roots in print creating brochures, annual reports, maps, and identity systems. I also designed custom boutique websites before WordPress-style sites became the norm. I have enjoyed many years photographing informal family portraits, pets, events, small weddings, individual and group shots in a work setting, interiors, and of course, food. I also offer editorial and creative writing for web and print.

Renee provides a full range of creative solutions to businesses locally and nationally—bringing skill, experience, and a unique flair to her designs and photography.

Clients have included The Atlantis, Paradise Island Bahamas; Care New England; Hartz Mountain; and The San Diego Zoo. Local clients have included a farm-to-table restaurant, law firms, artisans, small businesses, and nonprofits.

Other creative diversions include knitting dog sweaters and scarves for my online-based retail business, cooking, gardening, and combing New England for the perfect lobster roll with my little French bulldog in tow.
